Wedding Shoes

I really, really like these shoes. I found one at Rustan's in Cubao but it is in the color violet. It costs Php2,900.00++. Still expensive but I think I will be comfortable in it. I know how tiring a wedding could be and I'm sure this shoe will help reduce the stress of standing almost the whole day.

First Pinterest Fail

Jon and I knew that our venue could be very dark at night so we decided to decorate the place with light. I stumbled upon a photo while browsing through some stuff and I instantly loved it. I have seen glow-in-the-dark sticks at Japanese stores way back, but now, all those stores in Cubao were gone. So when I went to BIR to file for our monthly tax, I was happy because close to it is a huge Daiso store! Here's what I bought.
Daiso finds

Here's Jon fitting the glow in the dark stick inside the balloon.
"A" for effort

Aaand here is our inspiration photo.

Buuuut, it was a fail. There was no luminescent balloon of some sort. I can barely see the outline of that glow-in-whatever stick. Oh well. Not everything in Pinterest can be done by humans, eh?

Confetti Day Dreams

Another great source of ideas!

I downloaded their worksheets and printables already and it's very helpful.
Don't forget to also check their wedding magazine. It's awesome!

Oh, they have a Pinterest account! Yay!

Capiz Shells

Yes, we already bought 800 capiz shells for our DIY hanging photos! Hihi. Now we have 200 each of the blue and coral ones at 1 peso each. We also bought 400 small ones at 50 cents each. Here's a picture!

Yesterday, out of the blue, I thought of using the Capiz shells as escort cards too. So today, I tried making one. Oh, by the way, instead of using numbers, our table labels are songs, hence the titles under the names.

Whaddya think?

Hanging Photos | Dapitan Arcade II

I went back to Dapitan Arcade to research more on raw materials or finished products we can use. As seen in our cocktail hour area plan, there would be some hanging photos (11). Our inspiration is this photo from Pinterest.

Anyway, as I was walking aimlessly around the area, I saw the capiz shells and I quickly thought of incorporating it in my hanging photo area. You can buy the shells on wholesale (100 pieces) at one peso each. One string of capiz shells like the one shown below is worth 25 pesos. The best thing about this find is that the capiz are in our wedding colors! Yay!

For anyone interested, I also saw these mason jars at 150 pesos each. Pwede pang matawaran, I'm sure. :D

"Cocktail Hour" Area Plan

At the second site visit, Jon and I started planning what to do with the huge dining platform. We initially wanted our 170 guests to dine in it but we felt that the space would be too cramped, so we moved the buffet/dining area in front of the platform. The internet gave us a ton of great ideas that would be nice and entertaining enough for our guests.

Here's the plan:

1 - Reception Table
2 - Stone Guestbook
3 - Refreshments
4 - Ice Cream
5 - Filler
6 - Splash Zone
7 - Quotes
8 - Witty Guestbook
9 - Dessert Table
10 - 3D Photobooth
11 - Hanging Photos
12 - Photo Booth
13 - Smores
