Coleman Sale!

It was Jon and I's first time to attend the sale and we scored big time. We spent Php11,945.00 for items worth Php43,170.00. Yep, we only paid 28% of the total worth.

We bought: (2) 10x10ft Weatherlite Tents, (18) Twist Flashlights, (1) Aluminum Hydration Bottle, ((2) Switch Flashlights, (1) Lantern 4D Rugged Led CPX, (1) 50QT Extreme Cooler, and (2) 3x3m Gazebo Screen House.

So we tried setting up the Gazebo Screenhouse yesterday and it barely fit the living room! Thank God. That means it's big enough to fit a lot of people. Perfect for the wedding. Here are pictures of us setting it up.

By the way, the thing was 77% off. So from Php5,935.00, we only paid Php1,385.00. Yay!

Jon thought the 10x10ft tent wouldn't fit so he decided to just set it up in another day at a bigger place. I will post pictures when that happens.

*We plan to sell it after the wedding. :D

Disorganized Organization

I had all these random ideas floating in my head. It causes me to panic. I made myself believe that I have done a lot of things for the wedding but I recently realized I haven't. We were only able to book the church, reception venue, photographer/videographer and the make-up artist.

We should have accomplished a lot of things already. I can't go back in time to remind myself to organize stuff I read/will be reading from the internet. However, I can do something now.

Enter Excel:

To start organizing, I added worksheets for every DIY's, decors, blog sources, etc. Anything I think of doing. Anything of importance. I know it's still disorganized but it works for me. I'll post more updates soon.

Five Months Left.

That's it. Only 5 months until the wedding. I'm starting to panic just thinking about it. The fiance and I have not done a lot of preparations. We procrastinated.

Let the Planning Begin

Months before Jon proposed, I was already browsing fora, blogs and whatnots. Most of the time it took me until the wee hours of the morning just reading through stuff and marveling at someone else's wedding. It was no joke.

Wedding preparation tip: talk to your fiance first about the concept or theme you wanted for your wedding... as detailed as possible. There are tons of ideas for each theme and you don't want to be overwhelmed by it. The theme of the wedding should fit the personality of both the bride and the groom.

Jon and I like traveling so we decided on a destination wedding. In 2009, I bought a lot with a wonderful cove (clubhouse) in Laiya, Batangas. We go to this clubhouse (pictured below) so often that we did not even think of finding more options for our destination wedding.

So Kota Keluarga it is! Hmm... pero magkano?

The Proposal

I might as well start the blog with how IT happened.

It was the day of his birthday celebration. Usually, the preparation starts with us doing grocery in the morning, tapos magluluto kami, we wait for visitors and kakain na. Nothing really extraordinary. I didn't notice anything weird until he blew his cake and his brother told everyone that he made a video for him. Naks. Naisip ko pa, ang sweet naman ni Lafoy.

After several pictures of him were shown, nag-iba ang video. Puro text... parang message. Pero not from one brother to another. Then I get it. And my mind went blank. I see letters, I see words, but I barely understood any of it.

I looked at him. Made a face (a failed attempt to lighten things up). Ngumiti lang siya. Then I looked and watched again. I may not remember exactly what he said but I know it was the sweetest thing... and I couldn't stop smiling.
